Mentorship

Are you seeking support to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC®) and build your practice?

Mental Training & Coaching Centre offers mentorship for delivering mental performance consulting in alignment with the requirements for obtaining Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC®) status from the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).

Our mentorship encompasses a variety of topics, including psychological research and theory related to applied sport psychology, intake and assessment methods, intervention techniques for individual athletes and teams, planning, executing, and evaluating interventions, collaborating with coaches, practice development, specialty areas, ethical considerations, case reviews, and other pertinent subjects. As part of our collaboration, you will receive a unique, tailored working document—Domains & Competencies of Professional Activity for Mental Performance Consultation—to guide your mentorship experience.

Following an initial intake meeting to assess interpersonal and functional fit, you can choose from various packages that cater to your mentorship needs while allowing you the opportunity to work with multiple mentors. Our partnership will be founded on a clear and comprehensive mentorship agreement, typically organized through (semi) regular online or in-person meetings.
